Founded in 1981, Realfio is today a benchmark in Portugal in the production and sale of sewing threads, embroidery threads, and footwear threads, with a strong focus on innovation, quality, and sustainability.
With more than 40 years of experience, Realfio is committed to producing high-quality industrial sewing threads for apparel, underwear and lingerie, denim, embroidery, home textiles, footwear, leather goods, technical textiles, furniture and decoration, automobiles, personal protective equipment, and outdoor equipment, such as tents, or of marine activity.
Realfio® products include natural, synthetic, and cellulosic fibres, as well as a range of sustainable threads made from recycled and organic fibres.
Quality is the most important factor in Realfio’s daily processes, constantly enhanced through Quality Management System Certification.
Realfio is vertically integrated across the entire production cycle, allowing it to keep pace with the fast-moving industry and market demands.
At its facilities, in Guimarães, the company supports the areas of Research & Development, Colour Laboratory, Dyeing, Winding, Quality Control, Packaging, and Logistics. Clients are served directly from the same location, which also houses the main warehouse for raw materials and finished goods.
